Supervision

If you recently earned your Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) and your job does not provide you with a supervisor to meet approximately 100 times over two years, your hard-worked hours toward your Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) do not count.

If you recently earned your LICSW and are interested in starting a private practice of your own, I can help you get that practice off the ground by navigating important questions such as

  • Do I want to be impaneled on insurance or do private pay only?

  • Do I want to sublet an office or rent an entire space?

  • How do I navigate malpractice insurance?

  • How do I decide who I accept into my practice?

For years, I have supervised Masters in Social Work student interns and LCSWs prior to their independent licensure. I currently run a Training Seminar at McLean Hospital for LCSWs teaching them how to properly conduct initial assessments, what they need to know regarding psychopharmacology, and how to set appropriate and enforceable boundaries with patients, families, and colleagues.
