Do you need more supportive services than what your (or your family member’s) treatment team can provide and need to apply through the Department of Mental Health? Do you or a family member have a multidisciplinary treatment team but need help communicating effectively with all of them and managing appointments?
As the Lead Social Worker on the Short Term Unit at McLean Hospital, I successfully helped my patients and their family members navigate the complex mental health system in order to gain access to care that was best for their particular circumstances. I can help improve organization and communication between an existing treatment team, help find another provider to add to your treatment team, aid in assessing for job-readiness or readiness to return to university.
Particularly for students, I have 5 years of experience navigating the college mental health system and have worked with the vast majority of local universities. In this way, I can help students and their families navigate how to receive the supportive services they need in order to be successful upon return to school.
